Please join us for TEEOCA’s upcoming Lunch and Learn presentation on Wednesday, January 11th from 11:30 – 1:00pm.
Our speaker, Monica Maple has over 13 years’ experience in representing management in labor and employment matters. She began her own law firm several years ago to better meet the needs of her clients. In addition to labor and employment law, Monica focuses her practice on creditor’s rights, commercial real estate and business transactions, general civil litigation and Indian law.
Monica’s discussion will focus on issues to consider before terminating an employee, such as whether a disciplinary policy exists which governs the situation, whether the employee is a member of a protected class and whether performance and/or disciplinary issues have been documented. She will also discuss the Older Workers’ Benefit Protection Act and its application to terminations.
